After letting my tooth pain go too far several times I now get it taken care of as soon as I can. I hate the dentist, dread it but my new dentist has been working me through my fears. Ugh...that infection pain makes you want to just have someone put you out of your misery.

OMG I feel your pain, sister! I had two impacted and had them removed at the same time. Owwww to all of it. And boooo to the dentist who isn't a fan of whimpy pain med whiners like me. "Take some ibuprofen, it will get better" Meh. I want to sleep through the pain, fella. At least it's the last one and you'll not have to experience it again!

I had all four of mine cut out of the bone when I was 17. I think I lived on painkillers and Wendy's Frosty's for several days.

Lenore - You know something odd about the cold. Its freezing here but I still have to walk my dog. And that's the only time my tooth isn't that bad, when I'm outside without gloves and my hands are near frostbitten.

My mom is in love with Lady Grey tea and has hers every morning. Yes I do it right with her tea tray and all. Cream and sugar for her too.

About the tooth ache....here is a lil relief. Take an ice pack and hold it in your TWO hands this they are about froze right off. Surprise...the toothache is gone too. Don't know why but it has helped us get through a sleepless night.

I have been writing a good deal lately. Both in a journal and in letters I've sent out to many friends. I was a big letter writer when I was younger, I find it sad now that folks just don't write back. People who used to be so reliable about writing back have left my recent letters unanswered for months. Or reply via a very brief text message or such. I enjoy the process of writing, both handwriting and clacking away on the typewriter. I find something pleasing about the tangible nature and the way it is so much more personal in that your handwriting or your typewriter is unique.

Snarling, Thank you so much for the comment! It's nice to know I'm not alone in this notebook obsession -- I do like other notebooks. I really like the travelers notebooks. I have to find a way to build that into my day - I think its going to be zentangles even though I doodle the my todo lists up pretty well. I think when I get around to really doing separate zentangles it will be in the Midori. I don't think I could manage to keep the lists and stay organized with out the stickers and fun stuff - its what makes me want to use the filofax. I did have a compact size I was going to use as a wallet but I gifted it to someone - it was just too small for me. Even the personal never worked out, I guess I just need a bigger canvas :)

i also love reading about and looking at other people's filos and their habits and rituals but i especially LOVE reading about and looking at yours. it's true about the 'fun'. i have been itching to have more fun with mine especially since i moved back into a personal. since i had been in a compact i had strict rules: ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY STUFF ONLY and since i get distracted so easily, NO STICKERS OR ANYTHING OF ANY KIND ON PLANNER PAGES OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES. i've tried having a separate sketchbook and journal as well (traveler's notebook and large daily moleskine - still sticking to moleskine although that might change) but i'm totally jonesing for the all-in-one convenience. and although i have tons of my own paper, i've ordered ff 2ppd specifically for a daily "playtime" area as the need to graffiti and deface is totally overwhelming me. hopefully those are coming today so that i can get relief and satisfaction of being my own 'rebel'
