I'm a voyeur

I think paper planning is getting popular again.    I was at Staples the other day and saw inserts I've never seen before and that hasn't happened in, gosh.... over a decade.  Fifteen years ago (or so) Staples had a varied selection of planner brands and inserts but it dwindled to just few standard inserts and  lower end planners.   I hope this is the beginning of a trend and they begin to carry higher quality planners again.

While the binders remain a cheese fest in vinyl  these were  interesting!

It's a GTD  themed pack by At-A-Glance and only at Staples.

If Staples is creating exclusive planner content they must think it's worth the investment.

P.S. The pictures aren't great but I feel like a voyeuristic stationary peeper taking pictures of Post-It notes, so I click and run before I get caught.

But who wouldn't take a shot of these crazy babies...

Monstrous Post-its.

I can't imagine what I'd do these he-man sized post-its... but I find them ridiculously appealing.

I'm so lucky to live near a Staples with the Martha Stewart line...

Aqualicious!

The design of her line is so.... clean.  So different from everything else at Staples although...

I definitely noticed a Marthish trend in other brands...

Towards softer colors and away from the usual florescent day-glo awful that inhabits office supply lines.   It's got to be due to the popularity of the Martha Stewart (and other) lines made to appeal to women.

All we need now is a trend towards quality paper.

I took my mom with me to Staples the last time I went to keep me from going off the rails and buying every pen, post-it, and notepad in sight. LOL

The click and run comment got to me! Think I'd be doing the same. Love, love, love those pics of the Martha Stewart line. I can only dream as the mega stationery store here in Aus to stock her line only imports a few items! I so wish they would up the ante.

I laughed a bit picturing you taking quickie shots of office supplies and running away. So many times I've wanted to do the same but was always afraid store employees would think I was crazy. Like, there goes that crazy woman. She's back again! LOL. :D

I picked up a few (well, ok more than a few) of the Martha Stewart products from Staples before Christmas ... I have to say I'm loving them

I ran right out to my Staples store as soon as I read this and lo and behold, there it all was! Good thing you mentioned the Martha Stewart goodies--for some reason this store had it hidden in amongst the printer thingies. I did very kindly point out to the manager that it was quite badly located. Thanks and yes I spent way too much money.

I wish my Staples was closer to me but I do manage to get there (or shop online) periodically. Thanks for this lovely post! I just love MS office products and noticed my Staples has it hidden in the back of the store as well. Martha would not be pleased! LOL So glad to see the trend toward the softer colors. Aqua makes me so happy!

Kimmie, I hear that! LOL

Jowel, most things are designed really nice although I wish the paper was better. I found it pretty much mass-market paper.

carla - I feel so weird with a camera taking pictures of post it...

sandra, some of the things are SO nice, I agree!

susan mac - a while back many stores didnt have them at all. The store had to be big enough for the whole inventory. Basically two aisles... Now I notice most have at least some of the line which is great!

cheryl, there definitely seems to be a trend away from day-glo. I really welcome that!
