Recommitting keeps the bacon away...

Another week on  Nutrisystem under my belt and all is weightastic, I'm coasting at 16.5 pounds lost which translated into bacon (while the metric system baffles me, I totally get bacon) is ....

264 slices!

That's 264 ounces of fattiness no longer clinging to my anything. 

This past week I decided to go back to the very beginning of the mindset makeover and start reading the materials  again because repetition helps me and I need to recommit every once in a while.  

I don't know what my deal is but I have to remind myself why I want to be thin, and I know - Should be a no-brainer but sometimes something delicious is staring me in the cravings and I go all weak in the dedication department.  

Recommitting keeps my dedication front and center. 

I'm so glad I started rereading because the very first thing in the Mindset Makeover is this:

What are your reasons? Take a few minutes now to think about the specific reasons you want to lose weight. It's important to know what your driving force is so you can assess your progress and improvement over time.

It's that time of year--football season has returned. More often than not, each game means a day of lounging on the couch with friends while munching on snack foods. Well, we challenge you to push those snack items aside and show those football players who the real athlete is! For every point your favorite team scores, hop off that couch and do 3 push ups OR 5 jumping jacks. Like this post if you are up for the challenge!

Now, I won't be doing those push-ups...  But I can handle some jumping jacks, how 'bout you?

Or just bring a great veggie tray with some light dressing to dip into instead. I'd rather munch on that than do push-ups any day! And drink lots of water before you go so you feel full.

I'm an 'ol Weight Watchers gal from waayyyy back when. I think those tips still stay with me.

I hate jumping jacks, my tahtees bounce everywhere and that doesn't feel great. I do lojacks haha

I hear you on the recommitting thing. Sometimes I just get that "F*** it" mentality and cave in to some Jalepeno poppers or something equally greasy and bad for me. My main goal is a certain swimsuit. I have the bottoms to it hanging dead center in the middle of the mirror in my bedroom. Romantic, I know, but just having it there and forcing myself to look at it and know I used to fit into it and want to again really helps sometimes.

Maybe I should hang them on the fridge door. Hmm....
