My floor's clean now! Giveaway
So to continue from yesterday...
This here has to do with a giveaway...
These messy - Shall we call it an avant-garde arrangement? - bits of falala were residing on the kitchen floor prior to Libman Company sending me a broom and I know, I know.
It appears I store refrigerator magnets, fall foliage and important bank statements at sea level.
And I find the things that turned up rather baffling because some of it's gots some girth to it and isn't all that bendy - Not like that containers gonna smoosh easily - So where was it hiding?
Just for giggles here's an entirely unfortunate picture of my stove's evil underbelly.
Here's the thing; I've never owned a broom because, I have a vacuum so who needs a broom, right? Vacuuming seemed to make all this sense to me and I have a really expensive one but as you can see I don't use it nearly enough in the kitchen.
As nice as my vacuum is it's not all that convenient. That thing is never on the floor I want to vacuum. Or someone is sleeping and complains if I start vacuuming or I don't have an attachment small enough to get under my appliances (apparently), or I broke a glass and don't want to be sucking up glass shards into a five hundred dollar vacuum - Or something. So pretty much stuff just ...
A few weeks ago The Libman Company offered to send me the Large Angle Broom and dustpan, Oh yes, please. And hurry!
I told my family about it and they were all, Yay! Mommy's going to clean the floor which you know, I thought was weird that they were SO excited till I took these pictures and now I'm all, yeah.

Okay, anywhere but right now we're doing the kitchen.

They look like split ends to me...
Libman calls them flagged fibers. I call them my grabby little friends.
Leave me a comment and tell me you want, NO, YOU NEED, a Libman broom! Maybe tell me where you'd clean first... Or why you think it's better then a vacuum... Or just tell me, I need that broom, man! That's it!
This giveaway will run until November 30, 2010 at 9 PM Eastern Time - 18 years or older and US only please. I will announce the winner and they will need to contact me by December 8, 2010.
* I don't normally do this but if you want to post your own floor picture - like the embarrassing one's I did - on your own blog... I'll add a second entry. Comment a second time with a link so I know. You don't have to do this but it would be nice to know I'm not alone...*

22 People got a gold star today!:
Um, my floors are HIDEOUS and my brooms keep disappearing! I NEED this!
6 people, a dog, 2 guinea pigs and a hamster...yeah...it's my laminate kitchen flooring that would get the first crack at this broom, LOL
Hey...I need a broom. My current broom was left in one position too long and now you can only sweep in one direction.
Don't know that I'm brave enough to actually post a picture of my dirty kitchen floor.
Um..YEAH I need a broom! Half the new apartment is tile just like 75% of this one is hardwoods. No matter how many times a day I sweep there is more crap on my floor! I want these friends!
i need a broom! my dog has a nervous tic in that he licks the floor when he gets nervous or it is raining, so mopping is easy. but i have to keep it swept so he doesn't lick up a lot of crap- like my loose beads!
my mom used a libman broom to trick my stepdad into sweeping. she convinced him that libman was short for LIBerated MAN. he fell for it, haha!
if i win one of these brooms, you better believe it's going to go to my liberated man!
good giveaway, great hostess!
p.s. want me to send my dog over so he can tongue mop your floor?
ok Tracy, I am entering (aka begging, pleading, crossing my fingers and hoping) your lil contest. Brooms are something I know well. I know how well mine does not get up all this horrid dog hair. I sweep and sweep and sweep every day. 5 dogs creates lots of hair. And oh my the dust bunnies under my furniture are now free range bunnies!
Well guess what I found.....

I vacuum every single day of my life--not kidding. I hate that feeling of stepping on those teeny tiny pebbles of kitty litter, so I vacuum. And when I lost power for 3 days a year ago, I used a broom. I love my broom. :) I don't need a new one, thanks, but I would think EVERYONE would want a broom around the house. :)
Hey, I need a new broom! I'd love a new broom! A free new broom! That looks like a great broom! And a dustpan? WOW! Please add me to the entries!! Did I mention I'd love a new broom and dustpan? Because I would! I know about the gravitational pull of the zone under the stove...
Thanks! New broom or not, this was a fun read.
Yes, I do. I NEED it. My broom is more than 12 years old, and my floors are a huge mess. We've been having drywall patched, so there's stuff all over the floors - and it's so embarrassing to see how much stuff is under and behind the furniture when it gets moved away from the walls.
I need a new broom! My 16 month old keeps our floors looking awful! I try to sweep daily- but my broom is getting worn out!
Sometimes you just need a broom is so true! Nice to have found you! I look forward to your posts!
AWESOME review! We need a broom because of the 3 kids and 1 dog (she sheds so much)!
Thanks for the chance!
The broom I have now looks like its been around since World War 2-bristles are broken down ;)
thanks for the giveaway

I NEED a new broom! I think the one we have is either a hand-me-down from a family member or from a garage sale...it's my husband's from before we were married. I'd LOVE an upgrade! :-)

i need a new broom. my husband has taken our house broom down to the nasty basement to clean up construction work. i think that it would be best to just keep it down there but now our floors upstairs are quickly becoming nasty... it's a pain to vacuum the kitchen!

I would love a new broom. My kids took my old old broom out into the snow and the bottom got all frayed and it does not work at all now. I would definatly start in the kitchen... then the bathroom and my entry way.

Ohhh I need this broom! My dog has chewed my old one so many times it's almost impossible to use! Thanks for the chance!

I really need this broom! Mine got left out on the deck and has a slight curvature to it (not good for sweeping!)
i would love a Libman broom because I have the Mop..DID I MENTION i LOVEEEEEEEEEE the mop..yes I am crazy about it!! Best mop ever..So i assume the broom would be just as fabulous..My hair falls out as I am always vacuuming it up, so I could use a good broom to sweep the kitchen and bathroom..
