The Crazy Suburban Mom: Cuisinart Food Processor Givaway and no, I'm not kidding!

Monday, August 9, 2010

Cuisinart Food Processor Givaway and no, I'm not kidding!

There's one appliance I've wanted forever and still don't have. I don't think you need most of the appliances out there - and so, while paninni presses are cool and espresso machines are nice and waffle irons are well, I don't know about the whole waffle iron thing but....

There is one machine I covet over and over and over again and I wish I had one every time I get into some chop-heavy recipe.

Or a salad which is like, every day...

fp12dc_sd_feature3

I figured I was not the only one so I wrote the company (Seriously. I really did.)  and said all you guys felt the very same exact way as me and  needed a food processor too and could I please give someone who comes here a Cuisinart?

And it took a while for them to get back to me, they must have thought I was some sort of nut.

But eventually they wrote back and said, How about this one?

fp12dc_sd

Grace 8/9/10, 10:25 AM

I've had Cusinart food processors for years. They are the total best and I need a new one. I need it right now to grate cheese - we use A LOT of grated Romano and my husband hates to use the hand grater. But as soon as the weather cools off I will be baking and most of my favorite recipes require a food processor, sure I could use my hand-held electric beater but the food processor is WAY better. It's a great brand. I have their stainless steel pots - super nice! (hugzb4ugo@gmail.com)

ruth 8/9/10, 10:39 AM

I'd probably use it for something just about everyday! I love to cook and to entertain so I'd use it for blending, shredding.....the whole shebang.

My old non-Cuisinart processor bit the dust recently, so this would be perfect!

Amber 8/9/10, 10:42 AM

Whoa! I have seriously wanted a nice food processor for so long now, so I just about fell over when I saw this giveaway on your blog. You're awesome! I can't believe you actually wrote the company to ask if you could give one away to a reader. Look at you go! Love it! ;) Thanks so much for the chance to win. If I win, I'm going to use it to make French Macaroons! Best way to process almonds for the almond meal. Thanks!

This would be awesome as mine recently broke.

The first thing I would make would be low sodium salad dressing. Having a child on a restricted sodium diet, this is one of the worst things to find with low sodium.

randomcreative 8/9/10, 11:30 PM

I would definitely use it to make hummus and pesto! My Cuisinart is still running, but it's a 20 year old model that my mom found for me at a garage sale. I can't imagine how well a new one would work. :) So excited for a chance to win this!

OMG, I hate to tell Sparkle but this blows doors on her book giveaway, even including the bonus prize she's including that she is announcing later this week! I so want this! Brian brought a food processor with him when he moved in over a decade ago, but it is tiny and old and blah. (But still, you gotta love a guy who owns his own food processor!)

Oh yeah, my email (webmastercat at sparklecat dot com).

Kacey 8/10/10, 7:49 AM

Ooooo...AAaaahh... What a wonderful giveaway!

I would use this for just about everything including one I haven't been able to make without a tool like this: creamy, blended, soup!

Bebemiqui 8/10/10, 9:05 AM

I feel the same way about a food processor...don't have one, but know I'd rave about it if I had it.
I think mixing filling for Crab Cheese Wontons this week would've gone much smoother IF I'd had this beautiful machine.

Wow, I love to cook and would LOVE to win. I am not sure what I would make first but maybe some hummus to go with some fresh veggies.

How insanely COOL! THE FIRST thing I would make would be my cherry jam in it!! (Do you know how crazy it is smashing up 1000 cherries by hand? LOL! THEN I would so make my homemade spaghetti sauce with tomatoes from the garden - way easier than what I have to do now!!

I've commented once so this is just a plea from a fat girl doing Atkins. Also to let you know that the text under the image of the Cuisinart on the front page isn't working. Clicking the picture works fine though. Glad Ginger is feeling better.

Ms. Lollipop 8/22/10, 10:53 PM

With a food processor, I'd start off by making fresh salsa! No more of that tostitos jar stuff!

Hi Ginger! You're a cutie!

I would love to win this for so many different reasons. My youngest son eats baby food, but i would like to start making my own. We are also penny pinching so i am making everything from scratch. I really want to try making Almond-Pear Bread. We also have a garden and i would love to make Salsa.

What would I do with the food processor? I think I'd use it for a flour pot.LOL

Seriously, I can't make a pie crust without the darn thing.

Hi Ginger - you are adorable!

WOW, that is one sweet machine.... It could be considered a decor item! I don't have a food processor either. I watch the Food Channel and they seem to use it for everything.

My first thing to make would be salsa, and I feel badly because that's what the two people above me said. But I literally can sit and eat a 1/2 pound of fresh salsa from our local Jewel store in one sitting, I love it that much. If I could make my own it would be much more economical ;)

Okay, I felt so lame because other people said salsa, so I went to the site and *drooling* found Almond Eggnog Cupcakes. Ah.... sorry, I had an "ah" moment there.

Thanks for a fantastic contest and for writing to Cuisinart - love 'em!
