The Crazy Suburban Mom: Weekend round-up, clutter, laxatives, and apocalypse, now

Weekend round-up, clutter, laxatives, and apocalypse, now

1.  The light at the end of a cluttered tunnel - There were two households of furniture plus a second living room in one small living room for about two weeks.  Finally after a combination of the moving van sized charity truck coming Thursday to pick up the big chunks and  random freecyclers coming sporadically to pick up the small chunks...

012

I have a bit of room to breathe around here.

006

Just a bit.

But having some relief has helped with that twitch I developed.

The guts of two large storage units are still on my dining room table.  Those are the little things.  Wires, cables, DVD's...  Papers...  Stamps.  I don't know.  Everything important plus everything not that I need to keep anyway.

008

Even though that's what my dinner table looks like I feel like dancing.

And speaking of random odd movements...

2.   Laxative tea is still a laxative -  When the directions say, one teabag and repeat the next day, if necessary - that is no suggestion.  Two teabags is a bad idea.

If you're home, oh I don't know moving furniture say, it is a monumentally bad idea.  If you were belly up to the laxative teabag bar and say, Make mine a double! at Disney it would be more like apocalypse, now.

Just passing this on as a public service message in case anyone was wondering about it.

And speaking of apocalypse, now...

3.  Never mind.  I don't want to talk about Pandora...

The living room looks great and I have faith you'll get through the rest! :) As for the laxative tea...I got nothin' there. I'll be sure, if I ever am in need, to follow those directions. To the letter. To the "T." I'm often in too many places where not having followed those directions would be a big problem. :)

I ate two fiber one bars after Random Blogette said it would help with pooping...I've been passing gas for a day now!

Living room is looking good! We won't talk about the rest because it's a process!

I hope you didn't doody the carpet with all that tea....

Yes you can see the floor and walls. Isn't it a great feeling. Now you have the calm place when the rest seems to much. Just go in look at the living room and say "See I CAN do this".
My friend's mother is Japanese and she has a laxative tea that she uses. If she makes it for you she will tell you stay in the house after you drink this. Believe me you want to listen to her.

I have tried that kind of tea before, it was called Smooth Move. I have never had such horrible pain! But your cleaning looks great and I'm sure it feels good to see such an improvement!

OK, I'll go there. One of sisters used to work at a health food store. She was always bringing home "samples" of products and the day before she quit, she knocked over a barrel of pine nuts, which I can only imagine cost the store $10,000, since those little nuts cost a fortune. Anyway, Rhonda gave me this cleansing drink she called "Thunder Tea." She said it was supposed to clean out your colon, etc. I'm always quick to try anything just for the sake of experience. I was living by myself at the time and I made a mug of this tea before going to bed. About 2 a.m. I was woken by this horrifying rumble in my lower torso. I ran to the washroom just in time. Without being graphic - alright, I gotta be graphic - I spent the rest of the early hours of the morning astride the toilet passing what looked like those blown out pieces of truck tire you see on the highway. I felt like my guts had been ripped out of me.
Anyway, your home is looking great. This thrifting/hoarding thing is hard to wrap your head around. I'm a total pack rat.
Rock on,
Erin

do I spy a interesting bowl in the top right hand of the dining room photo...isn't that a 1970's ceramic bowl done in white with that reddish orange splatter look?
