The best thing I never wanted..

Smiling Ben

It's fun watching my son open presents; it was crazy fun when he was little because you never saw a child so excited about gifts.  He didn't unwrap them as much as they simply fell open from his sheer, shaking joy at knowing each one was for him.   No one ever gave that kid a gift and felt slighted by his reaction. Except once.  (... The rest is on NJ Moms Blog)

I think that was the best child story I have ever read...EVER!

I guess I should leave a comment over there... but you are the best NJ mom blog I never wanted.

eloh - I've been toying with the post for as long as I've been writing for them and I didn't know if I should write it - Its such an awkward turn of the phrase. I'm so touched at your words, for real.

Thank you for getting it and saying something...

Maureen - exactly, that's exactly what I thought. I was trying to keep the post kind of short and I edited that bit out, but thats what I think it is too

That is such a sweet story. I love how kids say things, my son is always saying can i pick you up mommy, which actually means pick me up.

I'll have to explain it this way to my DH the next time my little one uses this exclamation. He is all about trying to fix the Grammer of the it, when deep down I knew it was right the way they said it. Thanks!!
