It's the most wonderful time of the year...

The time the new calenders come out!

Fooled ya!

I have this thing for planners. Paper planners, to be exact. And I think I may have tried them all... No wait. I haven't. I just thought of a few I haven't tried.

So, five minutes ago I was in a very posh stationary store trying to feed my calender addiction - a refill for a Filofax. And they were behind the counter so I had to ask if they had the one I wanted (They did not).

I got home and just looked in the mirror. My shirt's on inside out. So basically, I was just in a posh stationary store talking to the posh woman behind the counter with my shirt inside out.

And I wonder why she was all, NEXT!

I was looking for the fold out 2010 for a pocket Filofax

filofax foldout

But really? I don't know. The pocket size is so small...

And I also have a few Daytimers Covers around (okay, more than a Notebook, Journal and Pocket sizes). Notebook is great but doesn't fit in my purse but it's probably the most useful size. Journal never seems big enough but it fits in my purse but I never use it because it's not big enough. I always intend to use Pocket and than just don't. Too small.

I bought a Franklin Covey planner ages ago and don't knew where it is. But I bought
another one last year. Julie Morgenstern, she wrote Organizing from the Inside Out,
and has a whole planner system . I got that last year but it didn't work for me.
I'm not really sure why.

I'm beginning to think it's just me.

I tried Whomi...

Gave it away.

This one..

Had pluses but minuses too... Didn't last the year.

The Busy Woman...

Gave that away too.

So, I get all excited this time of year because it's time for a new one but I have no idea what to buy. And they are SO expensive. I've had so many planner fiascoes already. Not that there is anything wrong with any of them and they worked fine for the people I gave them away too. But there has to be some way to know if a planner is right for you. Doesn't there?

Anyone have success with a paper planner?

And how in the world do you pick the one that's right for you?

Also wondering...anyone ever try....

The bubble planner?

Or the Delta Planner?

I'm not a member of "Planners R Me" so can't help you there. But the inside out shirt - THAT I can appreciate. Thanks for the laugh!

Maureen, I know. What a dweeb, right? Sheesh. And before I went in there I was thinking...button coat? Not button coat? And I think, eh. I walked all the way to the car with it open now isnt the time.

You know, wearing your shirt inside out is IN, chickie. She's the fool. :) (good try, eh?)

I can't find a planner that I like either. I have a 3 calendar system that seems to work. There is the one with family events, the one with just school events, and then my pocket one, which has everything. I wish there was a better way, but I think I'd have to carry a luggage-sized one to accommodate everything I need. Let me know if you find a good one.

You know, I've been trying to figure out the calendar thing for next year . . . something as simple as a calendar should NOT be so complicated :) These days with everyone having their independent schedules on their own cell phones etc it's impossible to keep track of whose going where!

Bubble planner? It must be for cartoon people.

You made my tummy hurt laughing about your shirt. Dear God in Heaven, I know the feeling.

Lin, I was so not in :)

Just me - I dont know what to do. I cant figure out how to keep track of things... its driving me nuts. Right now I have a piece of paper on the kitchen counter with a note to myself about todays doctors appt. I mean, itsnt there a better way?

Eloh, I know. that seems odd. Plus I really dont like planners where you have to write in the dates. And I felt like such a jerk about that shirt! And i couldnt have been in the dollar store - no, I had to be in a high end stationary store, right? sheesh.

I actually do have an addiction to calendars. I usually buy too many and have them hanging in just about every room. I'm terrible with official planners though; probably cuz I don't have much to plan.
