Toll roads...

Honestly...

capemay1

How in the world are you supposed to read the signage at 65 mph?

To continue....

If you do manage to read it and don't have E-Z Pass you
are now trying to figure out if you have exact change....

capemay2

Once you can ascertain what the toll is...

and which one of the..

...what eight?...or is that thousand lanes...

you should have already be in....

capemay3

You than need to get in that one single lane...

and I'll have you know this picture was taken mid-day ...

at rush hour every single, solitary, space is filled with a car....

Or eight-wheeler...

Impressive, right?

And you wondered why people from NJ are cranky?

And what if you are from out of town and you forgot all about toll roads and are penniless?

God Tracy I know exactly where that is! I read this post and all I can think of is the time, on the way home from a friends accidentially winding up in the EZ pass lane, sans easy pass....AT THA VERY TOLL BOOTH! Luckily the car I was driving was the In-laws, who have easy pass, it just wasn't with us, a few calls later I managed to get out of the ticket. But god i hate the parkway, and the turnpike, and the PAturnpike, and well, all toll roads, especially the bridges, excuse me it's how much to get out of Jersey? and it's, free you say, to get back in, very nice.....

It is a test. If one can not deal with such things, then they don't deserve to live in our wonderful Garden State and should move to Idaho. Survival of the fittest! ;-)

Every summer when we visit NYC we have this sort of fun - and we all get cranky! So you are totally entitled to the crankiness...

No kidding. We have that here too. It's a scam to make you buy their car thingies. Actually, I bought one anyway because those toll booths are a pain. :)

Checking in to say hello!

We don't have such things...my daughter deals with that stuff up Chicago way.

I was going to make the same comment as Harriet already did...they do seem to do a right stout business in toll passes.

You better believe that would make me cranky. Well, having to use toll booths would be enough to make me cranky.

I grew up in Northern Jersey and as bad as the traffic is there, I would say that Boston traffic is worse. And the ez pass lanes? In New Hampshire? COMPLETELY messed up. Instead of being on the far lanes, they are the 2 middle lanes. Talk about mass confusion!
