She's got Marty Feldman's eyes again ...

I just got home from having my last eye hullabaloo; at least I hope it was my last eye hullabaloo.

It's been a long.... Exhausting. Emotional. Haul.

It started some time last year when I thought I was going blind. After two surgeries and two yag laser capsulotomies I have most of my sight back , except my near vision. My doctor was less than sympathetic on that front. I was upset about losing it and his point of view was pretty much, Hey, everyone loses it anyway. I wasn't feeling that so much. You can read about the eye saga here and here and here if you want to.

The last here is about how the loss affected (I was just at a website to help me decide on whether to use affect or effect - I did my best. Grammar police - I really did.) me as an artist. And how it was both painful and freeing. I posted some artwork in that post and I'm going to in this one as well. I posted paintings in the last post because my eyesight changed the way I painted but it's changed my photography the most.

Photography remains the most difficult thing I do artistically. I still have trouble with focus and using digital editing. I'm not sure I'll ever have the same ability.

But first I have one of those crazy pupils again...

Here is some of my photography; prior to the summer of 2008.

I looooove Marty Feldman, so I don't care if you have his eyes...but just for laughs can you please put a pillow on your back under your shirt and say "Walk this way" for me? lol

Lol, my eyes creep my son out enough without developing the whole hump thing too...

What hump?

I follow several photography sites....some of yours need to be framed/copyrighted and made into prints.

Your painting is pretty darn good too. I'm all into seeing more of your photography.

Get better Tracy.

Thanks eloh ... I appreciate it. I appreciate that you really 'look' when I post artwork and I know that you do.

I haven't painted most of the summer because I have to do it outside and its rained too much. damn. Maybe now I can do some more photos...

Your eye is beautiful, so interesting.
I have appreciated and admired your artwork as long as I've known you.
Love your photography, your big paintings, and your ACEOs, four of which I can see while I sit at the computer.
You have an eye, and a sensibility, and whatever's been going on with you healthwise, you've had a remarkable ability to make it work for your art. I'm inspired by how you never give up.
More photos (above, I especially love "Bedminster, NJ"), more paintings and maybe someday more ACEOs.
And/or more blog.
Whatever you do, you put your whole heart into, and it shows.
:ack! I'm getting all ver klempt!:

It's not easy to give up anything. I got my first hearing aid when I was 21 and my second at 40. When I got my first one, the insensitive doctor said, "Your kids will have hearing trouble, too." I was just married, no kids yet, and he's ripping up my future (and yes, one does have hearing probs but no hearing aid yet). I wouldn't like the doctor to tell me what he told you, either.

Nice photos, and here's praying you have more sight restored.

On a happier note, I received my Wanchai Ferry bowls, chopsticks, bamboo placemats and freebie coupons, and I'm very happy! Going to Kroger in a few, and just started back to my school year job where I get home at six, so guess what we're having for dinner, courtesy of you? :-) Thanks!

I just peed alittle bit when I read "What hump?"
That is my all time favorite movie... I think I'll go watch it now that the kids have gone to sleep...FINALLY!

Thanks L, and I know that was all heartfelt. Thank you

Stephanie - Aw, glad everything came so soon! Hope you like everything, I thought it was pretty darned yummy :)

And on another note - what is it with docs who say things like that? I don't understand. Really don't get it...

Christa... Ooops, sorry about the unexpected pee-pee :) Happens to me a lot!
