Ginger is monitoring another giveaway...but first let me introduce my water bottle, Celeste.

A woman with a computer and a digital art program?

A dangerous thing.

It all started when someone asked me to come up with a button for my blog... It's pretty much deteriorated from there.

I have a CafePress Account because Cafe Press is the only place I can buy the obscure band T-shirts my son wears every day.

Every

Single.

Day.

In fact if you see a kid with long hair, a black t-shirt (sporting the logo from a band you never heard of), jeans and red converse high-tops?

My kid.

So it wasn't a stretch for me to figure out that I could make my own stuff... And way cooler than the stuff my son wears. I mean, c'mon, right?

So from the original quickly constructed blog tag I worked a little on it... actually I had to work on it twice because I spelled suburbia wrong the first time and didn't realize it until I got it up on Flickr. I am without a doubt the world's worst speller. No one asks me how to spell anything. My kid stopped asking me in about third grade.

Anyway.

I made my own Sigg Custom Water Bottle and it's all mine. From inception to finish, all mine. I feel like I gave birth it.

Although ... I'm going to rethink that birth thing because it's sort of a disturbing visual.

logostuff

Disturbing visual or not... I'm jazzed because it's going to help me drink more water; something I generally loathe. ...And it fits in my car drink cups.

When I got it in the mail over the week-end I decided to make a whole shop of stuff because I went wacky. (Just keeping it real.) Like the year everyone got Tazzy bookmarks I think this year everyone will get stuff like this... (My family puts up with a lot from me.)

I took my bottle (Celeste) everywhere over the week-end and just holding Celeste makes me feel cooler and look 25 pounds thinner, swear.

And I do not look like a tool, despite what my son says.

I put a link up in the side bar if you want one (or here) because reusable water bottles are good for the environment.

Plus, hearing my son say I look like a tool?

I don't know... It's just one of those magical mother-son moments that never gets old.

And for your surprise!

I know I've posted a picture or two of this before...

Remember?

That's one of the clear depression glass refrigerator dishes I got at a recent estate sales. I'm not sure how big it is as it's not marked on the bottom. But it looks like maybe a cup, cup and a half? And it's a nice heavy piece for it's size. The lid has a pressed veggie design; tomatoes and asparagus.

See?

I'm in.

I'll just sit here and wait, if that's okay. I like to stroke the nummy-ness of it's little glass bits.

No, No, I don't smell like bacon on purpose, I have noooooo idea why your Ginger loves my pockets.

icedteaforme 6/1/09, 5:34 PM

oooo I really like this dish....your sigg is cool!

I would be happy if I won the dish, but reality, I never win, I was one away from winning a knife once on pioneer woman....that is close as I get

I got a HUGE (never measured it but I bet it holds a liter and a half!) reuseable stainless bottle with a large top opening for ICE! my tea and I travel together! my complaint with mine is it does not fit in a cup holder other than the one on our stroller.....too big, smart you for designing one that fits! love your button logo!

ok enough using up this space to blab, hey ginger, I just made bacon puppy treats, hot from the oven.....peanut butter and bacon, ahhhh! want a dozen?

chicamom85 6/1/09, 6:25 PM

I would like it but not just because I collect depression glass(which I do), but I know how good it would make you feel to pass it on to me.

Ok if that doesn't work how about if we make a play date with Sasha and Ginger, all the treats and water she can drink. No its not a bribe, honest.

Blogger will not let me post on this new stupid format. I need a sigg bottle NOW. I love those but one with my design TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I thought the asparagus on that little glass thing looked like someone had smashed a fork into the glass..till you showed a close up. I suck, I also suck at commenting.

Veronica Lee 6/2/09, 10:12 AM

I heart the dish!

My hubby has shirts made every year for his baseball league so we always have tons of extras. My sons now only wear those extras. I swear people must think my sons only own one shirt lol.

Your water bottle looks great and I'm sure you do not look like a tool with it haha.

I have 2 larger refrigerator dishes that belonged to my grandmother. I didn't know what they were even called until seeing it on your site. I don't use them because I was afraid of breaking them (since they have sentimental value). Now that I know what they are, I would love to have more to actually use. Beats trying to find lids to all that plastic mess. Add me to the giveaway!

Tina 6/3/09, 9:24 AM

I have absolutely no glass or pyrex dishes in my kitchen for some reason....so I could certainly use one!

JUST ME, THE MOM 6/3/09, 9:59 PM

Looks like a lovely veggie dish, I'd love to take it off your hands for you . . . but then I'd actually have to eat the veggies . . . I've been kinda wanting to get off this sugar kick pretty quick here anyhow . . .

HI there, thanks for stopping by the blog again. My kids use the reusable water bottles, but I'm killing the environment because it many taste tests I can tell if it's bottled or tap and I just don't like tap water.......ugh!
I'd love the fridge container. Somewhere in my storage I have a few pieces of depression class plates, the pink ones, a few cups etc that my Aunt once gave to me. she was all into antiques. I have a friend who collects milk glass.
Have a super weekend, and I hope I win!

Mary Elise 6/5/09, 11:18 AM

Oh, that is so pretty! I love the vegetables on the lid, my two favorites, tomatoes & asparagus. How cool is that? I don't own any depression glass, but I have never seen any piece like this. You are a very generous person to give away such a lovely dish.

Vickie 6/5/09, 1:19 PM
