Is this the look of a dog that just doodied in a gym bag?

ginger and the doody in the gym bag...

Yesterday Ginger and I were in the car and she's not great in the car. It's not that she gets sick, I've had dogs that threw up if they had to go on car rides longer than 25 feet, that's not her issue. Ginger barks at everyone and everything. People, dogs... bicycles ....leaves...mailboxes...fuzz.

Ginger's thing is to run all over the car, frantically. I have to take her collar off in the car because once she hung herself on the gear shift.

Literally.

I had to pull over and disengage her before she disengaged me.

But yesterday we were driving along uneventfully; she was quiet and I wasn't paying much attention. All of a sudden I said to her, Man, someone must have hit a skunk, Ginger....

A mile later I'm thinking I must be getting close 'cause it smells much worse now....

Than I catch a glimpse of Ginger in the rear view mirror, have a horrible realization and turn around to take a peek.

And see...

Doody on my back seat.

Than I look a little to the left and see...

More doody on my back seat....

And realize, to my horror, there is a whole Hansel and Gretel Bread Crumb Doody trail all the way to the gym bag...

Quick as a bunny, I pull over, get out of the car and look in (cause I'm not touching that bag)...

And yes, there is even more doody in the bag. And a truly impressive amount of doody it was considering my dog weighs 10 pounds and there was a whole doody preamble before the actual doody constitution.

So I ask you again....

Is this the look of a dog that just doodied in a gym bag?

Oh yes. It is.

And I implore you... If you ever see this look...
Don't touch the bag.

OMG - ROFLMBO - I'm sorry it's not funny - but... but.. but... it really makes me NOT want to get a dog despite my kids obsessive begging.

tracy 5/7/09, 6:27 PM

MoonN - well, to be (a little) fair... she's 14... And ya know..as we gals age we start to lose...ya know...control over the girly parts. I guess even dogs lose it.

Naughty doggy! LOL My beagle/bassett mix gets car sick but she throws up all over. We have an SUV so we started letting her sit in the back of the trunk with a comfy blanket so at least if she throws up, it's not on the back seat.

Ling Ling 5/7/09, 8:47 PM

Haha! My dog is part Min Pin and I can totally relate to the craziness in the car thing. I sure hope he doesn't start leaving doodies in the car, though!

Christa 5/7/09, 9:28 PM

LMAO! I have an English Mastiff, so if he does this...oh it would be so awful!

The Knutson Klan 5/7/09, 9:48 PM

OMG! I laughed so hard after reading this! thanks...I needed a good laugh! :)

JUST ME, THE MOM 5/7/09, 10:58 PM

I am so laughing. I have two dogs myself, and while they would be SO DEAD, I just can't help but laugh. That truly looks like a most innocent little face - not a doodie in the bag face at all - LOL

shelly, I how I remember dogs that get sick. My last dog, Maggie... omg. A few feet in the car and it was all over. Literally...

Ling Ling, You have a mini-pain! How cool! They are a be frantic arent they? lol

Crista - I was looking at an English Mastiff to adopt but someone beat me to him! He was beautiful... the family had to give him up cause of finances... Its probably a good thing cause ginger is so bad with other dogs...but I really wanted him!

The Knutson Klan - Aww, thank you :)

Just me the mom - Sometimes they just... sigh... poop inconveniently. And she does always look innocent!

I'd have a tough time with that one ... you needed a doody bag instead of a gym bag. Maybe the gym bag now is your doody bag.

tracy 5/8/09, 8:38 AM

Jim @ CoolstuffforDads.com, ::smacking forehead::: now why didn't I keep the bag?

lol...

Shawn 5/8/09, 9:46 AM

LOL! I don't know what's funnier, the closeup shot of the eyes, or the preamble/constitution line.

I would throw a tantrum. Just a plain full-out tantrum.

tracy 5/8/09, 9:52 AM

Shawn - that is my favorite line in the whole thing. honestly, maybe the fave one ive ever written :)

and i write a lot :)

but thank you! its very nice to have your humor 'gotten' ...for all my weirdness, it really matters to me.... You made my day!

ROFLL!!

tracy 5/8/09, 12:02 PM

Thanks mama :) Thanks for taking the time to comment... makes my day!

Christina 5/8/09, 12:52 PM

ROFL... OMG! This is absolutely hilarious. I am so glad my lil Chi loves riding in the truck. She is well behaved. Her only problem is when she doesn't get to go. :-(

Have you ever wondered if maybe its you?
Maybe your driving scares the poo out of her! ;-)
Hee-Hee... Just kidding of course!

tracy 5/8/09, 1:24 PM

Christina, I really want a chi, and they are the only dogs Ginger doesnt go after. Im sure its because they are the only ones smaller than her. Except dachshunds which aren't so much smaller as....lower :)

Well it could be my driving but that wouldnt explain this post from the 5th.. http://crazysuburbanmom.blogspot.com/2009/05/uh-oh.html I think its just cause shes 14 and us gals start to lose control of our girly parts at her age. Maybe dogs suffer the same indignities...

I'm so done with the peeing when I sneeze thing by the way...

which is probably more than you asked :)

Nichay 5/8/09, 2:59 PM

HAHAHA! I would have lost it.

My husband bought me a Jack Russell Terrorist, or thats what I call him now, when I had a surgery done two years ago. He was trying to make me feel better. He is a sweet dog, but if he gets mad at me for any reason he goes and tinkles on my pillow. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PILLOWS I HAVE REPLACED? And why the pillow, why not my shoe or something?

Charlotte 5/8/09, 4:09 PM

Oh jeez if I told my husband that story he would say, "And there is another reason not to get a dog."

Ryan Ashley Scott 5/8/09, 8:00 PM

I think I would have done something else entirely with the camera - no pictures for evidence. ;) Hilarious story, and so glad it didn't happen to me.

Debbie 5/8/09, 8:18 PM

Thank you for reminding me of another reason I don't have a dog.

Vanessa 5/8/09, 10:24 PM

Hi! I came over from MBC under 100 followers club!

ROFL! I can't help it! It's amazing how much little dogs can reproduce! Good luck cleaning it up!

Charmaine 5/8/09, 11:11 PM

Oh man! I am so sorry! That stinks! (haha, sorry, not so funny) Anyhow, I'm visiting (and following!) from the Under 100 Followers Club - can't wait to read more!

tracy 5/9/09, 5:33 AM

Nichay -That so funny that you call him a jack russel terrorist - and I call mine a mini pain (instead of a mini pin) If they had puppies we could call them Jack Russel Pain in the Terrorists? What do you think?

Charlotte -Yeah, I guess that could never go on the positive side of the 'lets make a positive and negative list' on getting a dog :)

Ryan Ashley - Sigh. Whatcha gonna do? Some times you have good days and sometimes they are just....er....poopy.

Debbie - LOL I've been hearing that a lot :) Like maybe this is a public service Im doing? LOL

Vanessa - OH! Yes! Huge. 'Nuff said!

Charmaine - Stink, it did!

Thanks for the visits from MBC under 100 - I've followed everyone who's come to check me out. If I don't its a mistake and let me know!

tracy 5/10/09, 7:28 AM

Christina - It was a magical moment to be sure :)

To you and Veronica Lee - Happy Mothers day!!
